The Herman plum is an early variety of the new generation, which has its origin in Sweden. It was bred from a cross between the Car and Ruth Gerstetter varieties. It is an excellent early variety for commercial production. The fruit of the Herman plum is medium sized at 25-35g with an oval shape. The burgundy-purple-coloured skin is covered with a waxy, purple-blue coating. The flesh is yellow, slightly acidic and tasty. In addition, it separates well from the stone. The fruit is excellent for eating raw as well as for various preserves, jams and for baking. The Herman plum is one of the earlier and tastier varieties. Its harvest time is mid-July. It is a plum variety with an irregular habit that starts fruiting early (usually in the second year after planting).

Ruth Gestetter is a strong-growing tree that bears fruit very abundantly at the end of July. The fruit is of medium size (weighing about 35g). You can easily recognise it by their colour - they have a purple-maroon skin. On top of that, they are very tasty, sweet and come away easily from the stone. The date of availability is given as a guide and depends on the course of the season.
